Personalize your next PowerPoint presentation with one of your photos
Use any image as the background for one or more slides in your PowerPoint presentation to give your presentation some personality. Adjust the transparency of the image so that it doesn’t overload the text.
The instructions in this article apply to PowerPoint for Office 365, PowerPoint 2019, PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 2013, and PowerPoint 2010.
Choose your background image carefully
By default, the image you choose for a slide background will be stretched to fit on the slide. Choose a landscape image and a high-resolution image to avoid distortion.
A high-resolution image will look sharp and clear, while a low-resolution image will look washed out when enlarged and stretched to fit the slide. Stretching an image can cause image distortion.
