Add bullet points to quickly make your point
Google Slides is a powerful tool for creating and viewing presentations on the web, iOS, and Android smart devices. This free app has many styles and formatting features that can be used to create professional-quality slides, including the ability to create bullet points.

Add bullet points to Google Slides for the web
The web version of Google Slides is available from the official Google Slides website in any internet browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave and Mozilla Firefox.
Open your Google Slide presentation and click in the text area where you want to place your bulleted list.
Click the ellipsis icon in the toolbar.
Click Bulleted Lists †
Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + 8 to launch the list of highlights in Google Slide.
The first dot should appear in the text field in Google Slide. Enter a word or phrase and click Enter to create the second element in the list.
How to Create Bullets in Google Slides on iOS
The official Google Slides app for iOS is available for free on the App Store and works on Apple iPhone, iPod touch and iPad smart devices.
Open the Google Slides app on your iOS device and open the presentation you want to edit.
You can double-tap the screen with your finger to zoom in or out on a slide. This is especially useful on smaller devices like the iPod touch or iPhone.
Double click on text area where you want to place the list of markers.
Click marker icon on the toolbar. Your first entry in your list should be made.
Enter your chosen word or phrase, then press “Return” on your keyboard to confirm that first point and start with the second.
When you’re done with your list, click the check mark in the top left corner.
Tap an area outside the slide to view it without editing guides.
How to Create Bullets in Google Slides on Android
Google Slides is available as an app for Android smartphones and tablets and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store.
Open the Google Slides app on your Android device and click on the project you want to edit.
Locate the text area where you want to place the bulleted list and double-click it.
On the toolbar, click mark list icon to make the first entry.
All changes made to Google Slides are automatically saved in the background, so you don’t need to save them manually after making changes.
Enter text for the first point in the list and click Enter on the keyboard to start the second element.
Repeat until you have completed your list.
When you have added all your points to the list, click on blue tick in the top left corner.
Click outside the slide to remove all visual guides.
Add a bulleted list to a bulleted list
Adding mini lists to the main list of items can be a great way to organize different items or items and make your presentation easier for the viewer to understand. Here’s how to do it online, on iOS and Android.

- android † The Google Slides app for Android also allows you to create mini lists in the main list. While typing in the main list, tap the indent icon on the toolbar so that the triangle is pointing to the right. Click the left-facing indent icon to return to the main list.
Indent icons are only visible while typing in a Google Slides presentation. If you don’t see it, double click on the text area in the list you want to edit.
Can I create a numbered list in Google Slides?
In addition to bulleted lists, Google Slides also supports numbered lists and a number of other list styles. The numbered list icon is usually next to the bulleted list icon in the toolbar when a text area is selected or you are actively typing.
If you can’t find the numbered list icon in the iOS or Android app, tap the numbered list icon. Format (the one that looks like an A next to four lines) and then click Section to pick it up.
Do Google Slides Lists Work in Microsoft PowerPoint?
