Finish writing the emails you started and saved to do later

When you start an email but don’t finish it, it’s saved in the Drafts folder of your Outlook.com email account. When you’re done writing a message and want to send it, go to the Drafts folder and open the message.

Here’s how to recover draft and finish your message in Outlook Mail on the web.

  1. Open folder Checkers in Outlook Mail on the web.

    If you don’t see any folders under folders select the arrow for it folders in Outlook Mail on the left navigation bar on the web.

  2. Select the message you want to keep writing.

  3. If the message does not automatically open for editing, select Continue editing (✏️) in the header of a draft message.

  4. Edit the draft message, if necessary, and select send .

Save email as a draft in Outlook Mail on the web

If you don’t want to send a message, save your edited message as a new draft to overwrite the previous one in your Drafts folder. You can also save any email you create in your Drafts folder.

  1. in the window A new message select Additional assignments (⋯).

  2. Select Save concept .

To quickly remove an unwanted draft from Outlook Mail on the web:

  1. Open folder Checkers .

  2. Hover over the draft you want to delete.

  3. Select remove . Or open a message, select Cancel and then select Okay .
