Want to use the basic version of Yahoo Mail?
You may want to switch to Yahoo Mail Classic to upgrade to an older basic version of Yahoo Mail; this can be a smart solution if your internet is slower because the classic version doesn’t load new menu items, which reduces the load on your connection. However, the new version is useful in its own right as it looks and feels better, with the ability to classify email by date.
Check your current version of Yahoo Mail
To check which version of Yahoo Mail you are currently using in your web browser, look in the top menu bar where the Yahoo logo appears and have the option to search your inbox.

Switch back to Yahoo Mail Classic
The easiest way to upgrade to the basic version of Yahoo Mail is to log into your account and then access a URL that will take you directly to the old view.
You can also follow the steps below to manually achieve the same results:
V Yahoo Mail press or press the menu button Settings in the top right corner of the page. It’s a button that looks like a gear.
Scroll down to the window that appears and select an option Switch to classic post †
In the pop-up window that appears, click Return to classic post †
The Yahoo web page will then refresh and offer you the old classic version of Yahoo Mail. If you want to go back to the new Yahoo Mail to use the company’s latest features, follow the steps below.
Take a step back to Yahoo Mail Basic
If the old classic version of Yahoo Mail isn’t minimalist enough, or if you’re using the Internet with a limited connection, consider switching to Yahoo Mail Basic. If this option interests you, follow these steps:
Make sure to be the first on Yahoo Classic using the steps above.
In Yahoo Mail, click or tap the menu button Settings in the top right corner of the page. This is the one that looks like a gear.
In chapter View email which should open by default, scroll down and select Mainly instead of Fully featured †
Press the button Save †

How to Switch to the New Yahoo Mail

In the classic version are Yahoo Mail go to the bottom right corner of your web browser window.
Click or tap one click away from the updated inbox †
If you’re using Yahoo Mail Basic, the switch is located in the top-right corner of your web browser, labeled Go to the latest Yahoo mail †
The next time you use the program, you will see the new Yahoo Mail.
Yahoo Mail will automatically update and provide you with the latest version. If you decide you’re not a fan of the latest update, check the above steps again to return to Yahoo Mail Classic.
