End of Powerpoint presentation with black slide

How many times have you been in the audience for a PowerPoint slideshow and suddenly it was over? There is no sign that the end was here. Just the last slide and you’re done.

Let your audience know the slideshow is over by simply ending it with a black slide. You don’t even have to create a new slide and make it black. PowerPoint has a handy feature that does this for you. Here’s How It’s Done

PowerPoint 2003 options are located in the Tools . menu

  1. Select Tools > Options from the menu.

  2. Go to the tab Vision at the top of the dialog box parameters:

  3. Check the box next to End with a black slide

  4. Click OK

Open PowerPoint 2007 Options

  1. Click the Office Button.

  2. Click the PowerPoint Options button at the bottom of the dialog box.

  3. Select Advanced from the list of options on the left.

  4. Scroll through the list of options until you reach the Slideshow section.

  5. Check box End with a black slide

  6. Click OK
