Microsoft has a large number of Excel templates available online that allow you to quickly create a beautiful and functional worksheet for all kinds of purposes. The easiest type of template you can use to create a flowchart in Excel is SmartArt.
The instructions in this article apply to Excel for Office 365, Excel 2019, Excel 2016, Excel 2013, and Excel 2010.
How to make a flowchart in Excel
Several charts are available in Excel. The key is to look in the SmartArt Process category.

Open the Excel sheet where you want to add the flowchart.

Go to the tab Insert †

In Group Illustrations select smart art to open the dialog Select a SmartArt graphic †

Select Method in the left panel.

Select the flowchart template you want to use.

Select Okay † The new basic flowchart appears in the table.
Customize the flowchart
Once you have the basic template, modify it and create the flowchart you want.
To change the appearance of a SmartArt flowchart:

Select an empty flowchart area to activate the tabs Smart Art Tools †

To change the color, go to SmartArt tool design and select Change colors †

To add text to shapes, select the shape, type the text and click Enter †

To add other shapes, select the shape you want to connect the new shape to, go to SmartArt tool design select the drop-down arrow Add shape and select the location where you want to insert the new shape.
Not all options for adding forms are available for all flowcharts.

To change the flowchart layout, go to SmartArt tool design and select an option from the group Layouts †

To change a shape in the flowchart, right click on it, point to Format Shape † and select the shape you want to apply.

When you are happy with your changes, save the worksheet.
