Transferring a Gmail conversation to 100 emails is easy.
With conversation view turned on in Gmail, all emails with a common subject line are displayed together for easy reading. Gmail makes it easy to forward all these conversations in one message.
Sharing interesting topics
When you come across an email worth sharing, forward it. What if you come across an entire thread or email conversation worth sharing? Do you forward them one by one?
Not in Gmail, where you can forward an entire conversation in one elegant gesture. If the thread forms a conversation according to Gmail’s criteria, you can forward it in one compact message. Quoted text is automatically removed.
Enable conversation view
If you have conversation view turned on, Gmail groups all emails with the same subject line (ignoring prefixes like Re: and Fwd:) into one conversation. Gmail limits the number of conversations to 100 emails. When a conversation reaches this limit, Gmail starts a new conversation. Follow these steps to enable conversation view in Gmail:
Conversation view is enabled by default in new Gmail accounts. You can use these steps to make sure it is enabled.
Select gear icon at the top right of your Gmail inbox screen.
Select Institutions in the menu that appears.
On the tab General go to section Type of conversation †
Select Type of conversation to activate it.
Click Saving Changes at the bottom of the screen.
If you disabled View a conversation each email will appear in your inbox in reverse chronological order.
Forward an entire thread or conversation via email in Gmail
To forward an entire conversation in one Gmail message:
Select the desired conversation in your mailbox.
Select Yet in the toolbar above the conversation. The icon stands for three stacked dots †
Select forward everything in the menu that appears. Gmail shows the content of the new email at the bottom of the conversation.
Add all your comments to the email and message address.
Click send to send the entire conversation along with your comments.
You can also forward multiple messages from a single conversation or multiple attachments in Gmail.
