Forward multiple emails in Gmail

Send more than one email at a time, in just a few steps

Forwarding email messages in Gmail is a piece of cake, right? Just a few clicks, add a forwarding address and you’re done. But sending multiple messages this way can easily become tedious. Fortunately, there is a way to do this without having to link to Gmail all day.

Send multiple emails at once in Gmail

The secret behind this process is a Chrome extension called Multi Forward for Gmail. The first thing you need to do is install Chrome if you don’t already have it. Then install the extension.

  1. Go to the extension page for Multi Forward for Gmail and select Add to Chrome at the top of the screen.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, click Add extension

  3. You should see an icon Multiple forwarding for Gmail (curved right arrow) in the top right corner of Chrome, as well as the icons for other extensions (such as Honey, Adblock Plus, or Save to Pocket) you have installed.

  4. To activate the extension, close chrome and open it again.

You can now use the extension to forward multiple emails to Gmail.

  1. Open gmail and go to inbox

  2. Select the email messages you want to forward by clicking the box to the left of each.

  3. Select from the toolbar multicast icon (remember this is a curved arrow pointing to the right).

  4. The extension will ask you to login to authorize this feature.

    You only need to go through this process once.

    When the Multi-forward dialog box appears, click Entrance

  5. The next dialog will tell you what the extension is allowed to do. Click to allow † You will then see a confirmation message that you can easily close.

  6. Click again now redirect icon † In the Multiple forwarding dialog box, enter the email addresses of the people to whom you want to forward the selected messages. Click Multiple forwards send.

    The number of emails you can forward per day in this way may be limited to a certain number, depending on your specific settings.

  7. You will see another multicast dialog box , which you should leave open until you see a confirmation message. Once you see the confirmation message, you are done.

  8. This is it!
