Employment trends are constantly changing, including a new kind of resume that focuses on the digital presence you’ve already developed as a job applicant.
In partnership with Microsoft, MOO’s print and design service now offers several resumes that you can email or post online to help you and employers go paperless, but the benefits go further. A digital resume also uses elements that you can’t put on paper, from videos to social profiles and so on.
Use it with judgment. However, some employers are pushing for traditional resumes. In some cases, the MOO version of the resume will help you achieve this balance. Add a headline at the top with your name, address, and contact information, and you can add it to job boards just like any other resume.
Use free resumes from Microsoft to get your next job
In other words, the concise MOO resume style may not be appropriate for all commands. Think about what the resume was originally intended for: give an idea of what you can do for the employer. This means that these types of digital resumes can work against you. If a job posting describes a type of work that you can only showcase in online portfolio formats, you can generally use a digital resume that links to those sources.
When in doubt, ask the employer whether an online portfolio is acceptable or even preferable.
So, without further ado, here’s a gallery of MOO resume and cover letter templates for Microsoft Office, along with some tips for customizing each one.

Bright and Clean Digital Resume Template by MOO for Microsoft Word
This crisp and clean digital resume template from MOO for Microsoft Word is actually a spreadsheet, which is an interesting approach. If you work with tables a lot, you know that it lets you remap, move objects, adjust certain cells, and more.
This also means that if you don’t use Microsoft Office spreadsheets very often, you should avoid making drastic changes to this template layout. This can end in tears if you miss the deadline like most job seekers!
You can easily use this and the other summaries in this show without table skills by treating each box or area as a set box. Just write in the spaces already designated and designed for you.
In this image I show you how to change the color scheme of this template by selecting a cell or social media icon until the new Design tab appears. Then change the shading.
For example, while this template is dark yellow by default, I can change any or all of the elements to light blue, as shown here for the LinkedIn social media icon. Other icons include a Twitter handle, email, and phone.
To find this template in Word, select File † New and then search for it by keyword in the field at the top of the screen.

Select this template by searching the section File † New in Microsoft Word.
MOO also has two other design kits. Check them out below.

Print Professional Digital Cover Letter Template by MOO for Microsoft Word
As mentioned on the previous slide, this polished digital cover letter template from MOO for Microsoft Word is a great option for those who want to present a versatile job search overview that can work in most situations. This template is great for digital work applications, for example, but you can also print it out. In fact, in my opinion, of the three job search projects I’m showing in this slideshow, this cover letter and accompanying resume are probably the most printed.
If you are printing a color chart like this, be sure to use quality paper and print it ahead of time. You can of course print this in grayscale, but always leave time to make adjustments if needed. While the color does add splashes and highlights, it also adds another dimension to the shine, making this option potentially more challenging than the black and white cover letter, so hopefully this will help you decide if a more creative option is right for you. similar.
Some instructions for this template refer to the Design tab for these changes, but note how you may need to click on each element and then change the color on the Format tab.
After that, keep adjusting the other elements of the template to match the new color scheme.
