What happens to messages from blocked senders

Messages from senders on your blocked senders list will be deleted without notice. You and the sender will not be notified and the messages will not appear in the Deleted Items or Junk E-mail folders.

Block domains in Outlook on the web

To move messages from the domain to the Deleted Items folder:

  1. Go to Institutions

  2. Select View all Outlook settings

  3. Select mail spam

  4. In section Blocked senders and domains select To add † Then enter the domain you want to block.

  5. Click Enter to add the domain to the blocked senders list.

  6. Select Save and close the Settings dialog box.

Block senders and domains to block spam

Blocking certain senders or domains may not stop unwanted emails, as spam rarely arrives twice from the same address. Report junk emails that end up in your Outlook.com inbox to fight spam. This procedure trains spam filters to recognize and filter similar messages in the future. You must also report phishing.
