How to Change Text Size in Outlook and Windows Mail

The program does not allow you to change the text size?

If you can’t change the size of the text you type in Outlook or Windows Mail email messages, some Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer settings may be enabled. This can happen when some accessibility options are enabled. Here’s how to disable these settings so you can change the text size.

The instructions in this article apply to Outlook 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010; Outlook for Office 365; and Windows Mail.

How to Fix Windows or Outlook Mail When It Won’t Change Text Size

To disable Windows accessibility settings that may affect the font size in your email messages, do the following:

  1. Close the e-mail program if it is currently running.


  2. Open the control panel. On the Windows taskbar, go to Cortana/Search enter Control panel and select it from the list.

    To access the Control Panel in Windows 8, 7, Vista, or XP, click Windows key + X to open the main user menu.

  3. In the control panel, go to the text field Find Control Panel and type Internet settings .

  4. Select Internet Options from the list.

If the text size still does not change, restart your computer.
