iCloud is commonly used by iPad, iPhone, and Mac users to back up photos, videos, and other files, store contacts, view calendars, and even send and receive email. However, you are not limited to any of these Apple devices when it comes to iCloud email authentication.

You can even sign into iCloud and access your email from a Windows PC or virtually any other device with a standard web browser installed.

How to check iCloud email from Windows

You might be slightly surprised to learn that your iCloud account is fully compatible with Windows 10’s built-in Calendar and Mail apps, giving you access to email, appointments, and reminders with the standard set of features on your PC. Follow these steps to set up iCloud email on Windows 10.

  1. To get started, you need to add your iCloud account to Windows. Enter the following text in the field: Windows Search in the lower-left corner of the screen next to the Start button: settings

  2. Select an option when the pop-up menu appears Settings: Trusted Microsoft Store app it’s under the headline Best match

  3. Now interface Windows Settings should appear at the top of your desktop. Click bills

  4. Choose an option Email and Application Accounts is located under the head bills on the left menu bar.

  5. Press the button Add Account is located in the section Email, calendar and contacts

  6. A dialog box will now appear Add Account A with a list of account types. Choose one with the inscription iCloud

    The Windows Mail app may not work properly with your iCloud email if your account uses two-factor authentication. If you’re experiencing an issue where your iCloud account won’t load email or calendar and instead display the “Attention Needed” error message, you may need to check your email in a web browser instead of this option (see the next section Below ). †

  11. Request is started Windows Mail and your new account will be set up to download iCloud email and iCloud calendar.

How to Check iCloud Email from a Web Browser

If you’re running an older version of Windows or using a different operating system, you can still access iCloud email from any major web browser.

  1. Open a web browser and go to the following URL: https://www.icloud.com/

  2. Enter your iCloud username (email address) and password by clicking the sign-in arrow when you’re done.

  3. If your account has two-factor authentication enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter a six-digit verification code that should have been sent to your iPad or iPhone. Enter this code in the appropriate fields.

  4. Now you may be asked if you trust the browser you are using. If you are using a shared device or computer, we recommend that you click do not trust † If you’re on your personal device and don’t want to be prompted for a verification code every time you sign in to iCloud, tap Trust † If you are not sure what to do at this point, just press the button Not now
