Keep your inbox organized by deleting unused folders
Some users like Yahoo! Mail automatically filters mail from specific senders (such as a mailing list) into special folders so they can read those emails in one place. If they opt out, they no longer need the filter and have Yahoo! The email folder they created for the list. Fortunately, you can find Yahoo! You no longer need email folders.
How Yahoo! email folder
Yahoo Mail does not allow you to delete folders that are not empty, so you must delete or move emails from the folder first.
To extract a custom folder from Yahoo! Mail:
Open the folder you want to delete.
Check the boxes next to each message.
Go to the main toolbar and select remove or Movement .
Set up your Yahoo! Mail account via IMAP in your mail program to quickly move or archive messages.
If the folder is empty, select the drop-down arrow next to the folder name.
Select remove folder .
Delete folders with Yahoo! IMAP email
You can also delete folders using Yahoo! Email IMAPs and delete them from Yahoo! Mail on the Internet, but also in other email programs linked to the account via IMAP.
When using Yahoo! IMAP mail, deleted messages may not appear in Yahoo! mail Basket folder. Your email program may have moved them to your local Deleted Items folder.
To delete folders with Yahoo! IMAP mail:
Right click on the folder you want to delete.
Select remove on the menu.
If you accidentally deleted an empty folder and want to restore it, quickly select Cancel like it tops your Yahoo! Email screen.
Delete the folder in Yahoo! Email Basic
To create a custom folder from your Yahoo! Mail account with Yahoo! Email base:
Open the folder you want to delete in Yahoo! Email Basic.
Move all messages you want to keep.
Choose from the folder list Change Near My files .
In chapter My files select remove next to the folder you want to delete.
At Yahoo! Mail Basic does not require you to empty the folder before deleting it. The messages in the folder are moved to the Recycle Bin. You can restore them later.
In chapter Delete folder select Okay .
