Share emotions in your emails
Emoji express emotions and concepts in a fun and fast way. Only classic emoticons like 🙂 or :-O characters. Take emojis one step further with Outlook Online or Outlook Mail on the web with your Outlook.com, Live.com, or Hotmail.com email address and add graphic emoji to your messages.
The instructions in this article apply to Outlook Online for Office 365 and Outlook on the web subscribers for Outlook.com, Live.com, and Hotmail.com email accounts.
Add emoticons to Outlook email messages
Use the built-in emoji tool to add expressions to emails with just a few clicks.
Open A new message † To answer to a message or forward message to open a new letter in the reading pane.
Place the cursor where you want the emoji to appear.
On the toolbar format select Insert Emojis and GIFs †
On panel expressions select emojis †
Go to the tab to find a short video ad on Bing gif and type a keyword in the search field.
Select the emoticons you want to insert.
Enter a keyword in the search box or go to the category tabs to find the emoji you want to use.
Emoji appears in an email message.
Copy and paste the emoji like any other text. For example, copy the emoji in the message area and paste it into the subject field of the email.
