Show your digital slides on visitor paper

Whether you’re a fan of public speaking, a good PowerPoint presentation will help you get your message across. You can further improve your communication by providing participants with a printed version of your slides. This handout allows the audience to link to all of your slides in context and return to wherever they want to return to. They can also use the handout to take notes.

The instructions in this article apply to PowerPoint 2016, 2013, 2010, PowerPoint for Mac, and PowerPoint 365/Online.

Print PowerPoint slides with PowerPoint 2016, 2013, 2010, or PowerPoint 365/Online

Printing PowerPoint slides is quite easy. Check out the various options available, including how to print multiple slides on one page.

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.

  2. Select tab File and then select seal on the menu.

  3. Select the printer and the number of copies you want.

  4. In section Institutions use the drop-down menus to make your selection:

    • Choose the number of slides you want to print. You can choose print all slides print current slide or Custom Range † if you choose Custom Range , select the slides you want to print. For example, entering “1-3, 5-8” would print slides 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

    • Select the size you want to print in. Select Full page slide.

    • Select the number of slides you want to print per page. To print multiple slides on one page, just select 2 slides 3 slides or others. Consider limiting the number of slides to three, as they are harder to read than on the page.

    • If your printer supports it, you can also select: Print on one side or Print on both sides † Make a choice for this option. Keep in mind that double-sided printing saves paper.

    • Then select the order in which you want to print the pages; they can be compared or not called

    • Choose whether you want the paper in it portrait orientation or landscape orientation

    • Finally, choose whether to print in format Color shades of grey or Pure black and white

  5. Back at the top of the screen, select seal.

Print PowerPoint slides with PowerPoint for Mac

When using PowerPoint for Mac, the process follows the same basic steps with some minor differences.

  1. Open the menu File and select seal.

  2. In the dialog box seal Click Show details and select power point.

  3. Click on the various drop-down menus and radio buttons to select the desired settings.

  4. Pay special attention to the menu Layout † Here you choose the layout of your printed page. Select the option for slides only.

  5. Click at the bottom of the window seal.
