Quickly find all email from a sender in Outlook

Don’t waste time looking for a letter you received a few days or weeks ago

You don’t have to rely on your memory of what someone emailed you days or weeks ago. Outlook makes it easy to find all email from a specific sender.

The instructions in this article apply to Outlook 2019, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, and Outlook for Office 365.

Quickly find all email from a sender in Outlook

Just open an email that a person has sent you and tell Outlook to show all messages from the same sender.

  1. In an Outlook folder or search results, right-click the sender’s message.

  2. Select Find Similar .

  3. Select Messages in this conversation or Messages from the sender .

  4. Related posts are displayed in the panel list of messages .

  5. At the top of the message list panel, select All mailboxes to find all your email accounts. Or choose Current mailbox to restrict the results to the current folder. Use search tools and filters to further narrow down your results.

You can also find messages from the same sender from the opened email.

  1. Open the sender’s message in your own window.

  2. Go to the tab Message .

  3. In Group To process select Related .

  4. Select Messages from the sender .

  5. Outlook displays all email from the same sender in a panel list of messages .
