When things go wrong in Gmail, if you think you’re doing the right thing, keep the frustration, the anger, and the frustration for yourself, the wall, and the neighbors. It would be nice to share this.
If you share the Gmail error you encountered with Google, chances are you won’t come across it again and others never should either. Google’s Gmail error message is not only useful, but also quite simple.

Report a bug in Gmail
To report a bug or provide feedback:
Click on icon Settings in your Gmail on the web inbox and select Post a review.
Enter your feedback in the field.
Check the box to add an additional screenshot Enable screenshot . The browser window with Gmail is automatically captured.
Click on the overlay text in the caption screenshot Click to highlight or hide information.
This step is optional. If everything is fine and the Gmail team sees everything in the screenshot, you can skip this step and the next.
Use the yellow and black squares to highlight the screenshot. Use yellow to highlight problem areas and black to hide personal information that Google engineers don’t want to see. The tools draw rectangles of any size. Click Finished when you are done with the tool.
Check the review text and make sure the screenshot thumbnail (if any) matches your expectations. Click Send.
Guidelines for reporting a bug in Gmail or submitting feedback to Google
Specific information is always better than general complaints. Saying something “doesn’t work” is less helpful to a mechanic than saying “button X doesn’t activate when I select option Y”.
- Stay calm A: Mistakes happen. A deep technical support team with angry comments or requests for quick action will not solve the problem with extra speed.
- Be concise . State the problem in full, but don’t write a book. Focus only on the issue and only offer one issue per support ticket or feedback session.
- List the steps you took to fix the bug . If you can replicate the problem, please list the steps (in order) to make the error reappear.
- Share if the error repeats . Was it a one-time glitch or will it persist even after doing the usual troubleshooting steps like rebooting, clearing browser caches, etc?
- Provide proof of the problem . Include screenshots, error log reports, or file attachments (where possible) that show the issue in context.
- Suggest relevant context . For example, if you can’t get the social network login button to work, it’s worth knowing if you’re using privacy plugins in your browser.
