One of the easiest ways to rotate an image on a PowerPoint slide is: free turn image. By this we mean simply rotate the image by hand until the resulting angle is the way you want it.

Rotate a photo for free

Click an image on a slide to select it.

descriptor rotate freely is a green circle on the top border in the center of the image.

Place the mouse pointer on the green circle. Note that the mouse cursor will change to a circular tool. Click and hold the mouse while rotating the image left or right.

When you rotate an image on a slide, the mouse cursor changes with rotation again.

Release the mouse button when you reach the desired rotation angle.
- Remark † To turn to Steps of 15 degrees keep the key pressed Shift when moving the mouse.

If you change your mind about the angle of the image, repeat the second step until you are happy with the result.
Additional Image Rotation Options
You can apply a specific angle to this image on a PowerPoint slide.

Click on the photo to select it. Picture Tools should be visible above the ribbon on the right.

Press the button Format under image tools. Image formatting options appear on the ribbon.

In chapter streamline click the button to the right of the ribbon To spin for more options.

Rotate an image at a precise angle
After pressing the button More rotation options… a dialog box will open Image format †

Click The size on the left side of the dialog box if it isn’t already selected.

In chapter The size you will see a text box rotation † Use up or down arrows to select the correct rotation angle, or simply enter the angle in the text box.
Remark:-
If you want to rotate the image to the left, you can enter a minus sign for the angle. For example, to rotate an image 12 degrees to the left, type -12 in the text field.

You can also enter a number as an angle within a 360 degree circle. In this case, an angle of 12 degrees to the left can also be entered as 348 degrees.

Press the button close to to apply the changes.
Rotate an image ninety degrees

Click on the photo to select it.

As in step 3 before, click the button Format above the ribbon to display image formatting options.

In chapter streamline on the ribbon, click the button rotation to display rotation options.

Select the option to rotate 90 degrees left or right as desired.

Press the button close to to apply the changes.
