### Announcements/Invitations Envelopes

Open sided envelopes with square, often deep flaps and side seams, these envelopes – also called A-Style or A-Line – may have top flap cover edges and are often used with matching text and white and color covers. You can find announcement and other envelopes called invitation cards, greeting cards, or personal envelopes. Look at the patch/seam size and style to know exactly which style you will receive.

### Baronial Envelopes

Used for formal invitations, greeting cards and some stationery, the Baronial is an open-sided, nearly square envelope with pointed flaps and diagonal seams.

Inner/outer envelope sets come with a (slightly smaller) non-gummed inner envelope.

### Booklet Envelopes

Open side envelopes with small square or paper flaps and side seams, booklet envelopes are ideal for printing and mailing.

Book envelopes are not only used for booklets, but also for brochures, catalogues, annual reports and other multi-page mailings. They work well with automatic machines.

### Catalog Envelopes

Usually open envelopes with flaps and center seams, catalog envelopes are used for magazines, reports, catalogs and other heavy material.

Policy envelopes used for insurance policies, wills, mortgages, and other legal documents sometimes have a full viewing window.

### Commercial Envelopes

Used for business envelopes, mailing lists, personal correspondence and direct mail style envelopes, the commercial envelope includes a standard, easily accessible #10 envelope.

Commercial standard or formal commercial envelopes are also open side envelopes, usually with commercial style flaps and diagonal seams, although some sizes have side seams and square/paper or pointed flaps. The Monarch is a variant of the No. 7 envelope, but with a pointed flap. The windowed version has single or double windows that allow addresses to be displayed across the front of the envelope. They are often used for invoices or statements, checks and checks.

### Square Envelopes

Square envelopes have large square flaps (and sometimes pointed flaps) and side seams, but custom sizes and shapes can increase shipping costs. Certain sized square envelopes cannot be shipped unless placed in a larger mailer envelope.

Square envelopes are mainly used for announcements, advertisements, special greeting cards or other mail items where the sender wants to draw attention to the contents before opening the envelope.
