Unblock blocked senders and get their email again

Have you blocked someone on Outlook.com (intentionally or accidentally) but now you want to unblock them? You can unblock these blocked senders in Outlook.com with just a few clicks and get email from them again.

The instructions in this article apply to Outlook.com and Outlook Online.

Unblock a blocked sender

There may be other ways to block email addresses through Outlook.com, so be sure to read all of the steps below to make sure you open your account enough to receive email from the correct recipient.

To unblock addresses from the blocked senders list:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select View all Outlook settings

  3. Select mail

  4. Select spam

  5. In chapter Blocked senders and domains you will see a list of senders that you have blocked in the past.

  6. To delete an address, select bin next to the email address.

  7. Select Save

  8. Close the window Settings

This also works with addresses that are blocked by the purge filter.
