Send large attachments via Yahoo Mail
Yahoo Mail limits the size of messages sent through their servers, so if your email has a large attachment, you may need to find an alternative way to send it.
The information in this article applies to the web versions of Yahoo Mail and the Yahoo Mail mobile apps for Android and iOS.
What are Yahoo’s email size and attachment limits?
Yahoo Mail allows you to send emails up to 25MB in total. This size limit applies to both the message itself and all attachments, so if an attachment is exactly 25MB, it will not go through because the text and other data in the message adds a small amount of data.
How to reduce message size
If the message you’re about to send in Yahoo Mail exceeds the limit, there are a few strategies you can use to reduce the message size:
Compress attached files using an archive utility.
If you need to send multiple files, attach them to multiple messages.
Send a link where the recipient can download the file from the Internet.
Send large files with Yahoo mail
To send a file larger than Yahoo Mail allows, you can use a file upload service or upload it to Dropbox and send a link to the file via Yahoo Mail.
Earlier versions of Yahoo Mail included Dropbox integration, but this feature has been removed.
